Casa Captiva is a beachfront villa in Punta Bella, Palmilla Sur — What makes it unusual is the beach itself: quiet, sheltered and genuinely swimmable, which is rare along this coastline. The villa sits just above the sand with direct access down to it, six bedrooms for up to 12 guests, and roughly 10,000 square feet of air-conditioned interior opening onto some 7,000 square feet of terraces.
The design blends the rustic elegance of a colonial hacienda with a South Pacific ease: solid wood floors, marble finishes, leather furnishings and an arched, skylit ceiling over the open living and dining rooms, anchored by a fireplace. The gourmet kitchen is built around a marble-topped island with professional appliances, a gas range and a triple-door Sub-Zero. A separate den and games room adds a mahogany bar with leather stools, a pool table and card tables, and the media room has satellite TV and surround sound. There is also a dedicated spa room, ceiling fans throughout, zoned air conditioning, a double water purification system, washer and dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. The whole villa is on a single level, so there are no stairs between the living areas and the bedrooms.
Outside, a heated infinity pool looks straight down the beach, with a jacuzzi, a shaded gazebo, an outdoor sound system, a gas BBQ grill, outdoor dining, umbrellas, eight deck loungers and eight beach chairs. Four of the bedrooms are king suites with their own terraces and ocean views; a detached casita with a queen bed and its own exterior entrance gives a couple real privacy; and the family suite has two queens, two twins and a kitchenette of its own.
Daily housekeeping is included except Sundays and Mexican holidays, and the community is gated with private security. Palmilla, its golf and its restaurants are minutes away, San José del Cabo is a short drive, and supermarkets, dining and nightlife are about ten minutes out. Is Casa Captiva really beachfront?
Yes. The villa sits directly above the sand in Punta Bella with its own access down to the beach. Punta Bella is one of the few pockets of the Corridor with a calm, swimmable shoreline — though as anywhere in Los Cabos, whether you can swim on a given day depends on the ocean and the surf that day.
Is the pool heated?
Yes. The infinity pool is heated and overlooks the beach, and there is a separate jacuzzi on the terrace.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Ask your concierge if you need an earlier arrival or later departure — it depends on the housekeeping schedule.
What is the minimum stay?
Three nights for most of the year, rising to seven nights over the U.S. Thanksgiving and Christmas / New Year periods.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are considered case by case, only with the owner’s prior written approval. Ask your concierge before booking so we can confirm it in writing.
Is smoking allowed?
No. The villa is entirely non-smoking, indoors and outdoors. A $350 USD penalty may apply. Please also keep wet clothing and towels off the indoor furniture — the floors and furnishings are solid wood and leather.
Is there a minimum age to book?
Yes. The signing renter must be at least 25 years old and must stay at the villa for the duration of the reservation.
Can we host a wedding or an event here?
Yes, events are permitted with prior approval and an additional event fee. Tell your concierge the occasion, the guest count and the dates and we will confirm what is possible before you book.
