Villa Estero sits on the sand in Puerto Los Cabos, on the East Cape side of San José del Cabo. The architecture is an unusual mix — Spanish colonial crossed with classical Roman — and it is single-storey, so there are no stairs anywhere. Five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and up to 10 guests, with the Sea of Cortez directly in front.
The outdoor areas are what people remember. A stone aqueduct pours water into the infinity pool below, and an infinity-style jacuzzi with six jets appears to float inside the pool itself. A palapa shades the outdoor grilling and dining area, with a stainless gas grill and a marble-topped bar; nearby there is a three-tiered four-poster lounge bed and twin hammocks strung between two palms. Six loungers, a fire pit and lush gardens fill the rest of the terrace.
Inside, massive recessed glass doors slide away so the breeze comes straight off the water. Warm Saltillo tile and cream walls run throughout, with local artwork, pottery and painted plates for colour, and intricate chandeliers hanging from vaulted wood-beamed ceilings. The gourmet kitchen has stainless appliances, marble countertops and rich cabinetry, and the dining table seats twelve. Every bedroom has a private terrace with ocean views, an en-suite bathroom, an in-room safe and a television; the primary bathroom adds a jacuzzi tub. Three of the bedrooms have their own exterior entrance.
Daily housekeeping is included, along with private check-in, a villa manager, a gym, water purification and high-speed internet, in a gated community with private security. The Fundadores Golf Course is adjacent, Flora Farms and Acre Baja are about ten minutes inland, and downtown San José del Cabo is a short drive. Four bedrooms have a king bed and one has a queen. All five have a private balcony terrace with ocean views, an en-suite bathroom, an in-room safe and a television. The primary bathroom has a jacuzzi tub, and three of the bedrooms have their own exterior entrance.
Is Villa Estero beachfront?
Yes. The villa sits on the sand in Puerto Los Cabos, steps from the shore of the East Cape, with the Sea of Cortez in front. As anywhere in Los Cabos, whether you can swim on a given day depends on the surf and currents.
What is the HOA fee, and what does it cover?
A homeowners association fee applies to every reservation in Puerto Los Cabos. It covers your access to the Fundadores Beach Club — its beachfront restaurant, its air-conditioned gym and its pool. Your concierge will show you the exact amount with your quote before you book, and access can be restricted during peak holiday periods.

Is the villa on one level?

Events are permitted with prior approval and an additional fee. Tell your concierge the occasion, the guest count and the dates and we will confirm what is possible before you book.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. Ask your concierge if you need a different time.
Is smoking allowed?
No. No. The villa is entirely non-smoking, indoors and outdoors. A $350 USD penalty may apply.

The Fundadores Golf Course is adjacent, the Puerto Los Cabos marina is minutes away for sport fishing and water sports, and Flora Farms and Acre Baja are about ten minutes inland. Downtown San José del Cabo with its art district is a short drive, and the airport is roughly 20 to 25 minutes.
